As a Applied Technology Group SharePoint developer, you work with our customers to empower organizations to innovate and gain competitive advantage through leveraging SharePoint and the NET development platform framework.
Responsibilities:
- Develop robust software applications for integration into an enterprise level, web-based analytic software architecture using .Net Technologies
- Perform tasks requiring knowledge of software applications, coding and design functions, to include software analysis, design, testing, and documentation
- Maintain, troubleshoot and enhance mission critical software
- Actively participate in the team’s self-organizing, agile development methodology
- Recommend and design technical improvements to maximize productivity through data exploitation and management
- Drive projects from conceptualization through to successful deployment in an operational environment
- Ability to work both independently and/or in a close team environment is essential
Requirements:
Experience developing in SharePoint; however candidates with a strong development background interested in ramping up in Microsoft Office SharePoint Server will also be considered.
In conjunction with Sharepoint development, the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate proficiency with .NET architecture, design, coding, and debugging. The role requires both broad and deep technology knowledge and the ability to develop a solution by mapping a customer’s business problem to an end-to-end technology solution.
• Understanding and experience with the .NET 2.0 and 3.0 framework.
• Experience with the C# programming language and object-oriented programming. Experience with Visual Basic.NET or other .NET programming languages is helpful.
• Understanding and experience with Microsoft Windows and other Microsoft technologies.
• Experience developing Microsoft Office based solutions (Sharepoint experience preferable).
• Experience developing database applications using SQL Server 2005 and SQL Server 2000. Experience with Oracle or DB2 is helpful.
• Experience developing interoperable solutions with Unix/Linux and/or Java using web services, COM/Java interop technologies, and/or TCP/IP sockets is desirable.
• Debugging skills; ability to debug system-wide technical problems in unfamiliar areas.
• Ability to diagnose and correct performance problems
